“Table made of gold” (Ex 37:10-16)
As we live our lives, there are three types of nourishment we need. Physical food + intellectual food + spiritual food. We must firmly hold on to a word that comes out in today’s passage. Make a table to place the bread in the tabernacle. Eat spiritual food, the food of life. That is connected to money. Your future will unfold in line with the covenant you are holding on to today. Your thoughts will form your future. There is nothing to worry about regarding the future because today is your future.
If you do not properly hold on to the spiritual covenant, you have no spiritual food to eat, so you end up trying to find nourishment by running the errands of Satan, enslaved to him.
In today’s passage, God commanded Moses to make a table to place the bread in the tabernacle in order to save all the people. For what are we trying to build a sanctuary, despite the hardships? So that many people can come to eat the bread of life… Turn your eyes toward the place where the covenant lies.
1. Eat the food of life that sets you free from Egypt.
No matter how hard you work, you cannot change your destiny. Eat the bread of life (Christ) that sets you free from Egypt. Come to church and eat of the food of life. God! Give me the Word of life! May Your glory be revealed upon me. God, this is the situation that I’m in. give me spiritual strength! Then, answers will surely come. God who is good does not lie.
2. Eat of the food of life to gain strength as you walk through the wilderness.
You’ve received salvation, but you must take the path through the wilderness. With worldly strength, all you can do is fight against the people of the world. So enjoy the Ark of the Covenant, mercy seat, and three feasts and eat of the bread.
What kind of situation are you in? God gave the Israelites manna and protected them. And they took the unchanging Word of God and preserved it. This is the Ark of the Covenant. Hold on to God’s message that is proclaimed by the pastor. That is why Aaron’s budded staff symbolizes.
What are the three feasts? God delivered the Israelites from darkness and He was with them by His Spirit on the path they took. This means, “Your background is heaven.”
3. Eat of the food of the amazing evidence of God who has led you until now.
This is what God revealed to Moses. Ge 3:15, Ge 6:14, Ge 12:1-4... Abraham built an altar before the Lord as he held on to this covenant. This covenant of life was passed down to Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. This food was relayed to Jochebed and Jethro, and with that food of life, Moses, Joshua, Caleb, and Rahab arose. That time schedule, that sanctuary where you will eat of that food of life.
Conclusion ? Ex 37:14, Make rings.
Why did God give instructions to make rings? To place something through it. Why? To make it transportable. Make a sanctuary where the people of the 237 nations can gather. Make it so that the people of the 237 nations can come to eat the food of life. So that these Remnants can come and eat the food of life… Make a sanctuary where those who are sick can come to receive healing, a place where we can receive grace all lifelong, and a church building that can give the food of healing. Make a courtyard of prayer. God, give me the food of life today! May you stake your lives on the place that gives the food of life!
