God’s New Start

1 Kings 18:1~18 And now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord, “Behold, Elijah is here”’; and he will kill me.” And Elijah said, “As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.” (14~15)

Churches in America are closing their doors and even pastors of megachurches are crumbling down. Ideologies that are not the Gospel are continuously entering the church, and the rise of drug abuse and other addictions in the field have become very serious. At this time, you must hold onto God’s important message and start a new beginning with Him. After Elijah’s battle at Mt. Carmel, God sought after him and showed him His new covenant and absolute plan. What is God’s absolute plan for you today?

1. Discover the “Me That God Desires” Within His Covenant
God has called you as an evangelist to save others. Therefore, do not be discouraged before problems and incidents. Instead, enter God’s covenant, discover His plan, and the “me that God desires.” Even though Adam sinned against God and left Him, God still gave him a new covenant(Genesis 3:9 and 15). This was the same for Moses who once lived in the palace in Egypt. God came to Moses, relayed the covenant of the blood sacrifice, and fulfilled the covenant Himself(Exodus 3:18).

2. Receive God-Given Spiritual Strength
All problems and incidents contain God’s complete plan. Therefore, you must receive God-given spiritual strength. If you truly believe in God’s absolute sovereignty, the problems that you face will become springboards that fulfill His plan. An important aspect of this is the question, “Are you truly enjoying the mystery of receiving spiritual strength?” God bestowed spiritual strength to Moses who prayed and meditated on the Word in the wilderness. He even gave spiritual strength to Elisha who sought a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. To those who pray like Daniel, God will give them the same strength today.

3. Discover the Mission That God Has Prepared and Save the Next Generation
Even though you are weak, God will fulfill the mission of world evangelization through you. If you restore this mission, you will be able to see what God has prepared. For the sake of Elijah who was completely discouraged, God had already prepared Elisha to receive the 7,000 disciples and to relay the covenant. In addition, God carried out the time schedule of “being victorious without fighting” by raising the Dothan movement and gave the answer of saving the 237 nations of the world.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, may I discover the “me that You desire” within the covenant. As I receive the spiritual strength that You have given, may I enter within Your mission.

[Gospel Memory Verse] 1 Corinthians 1:21
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.
