Joseph Who Broke the Old Frame

Genesis 37:1~11 But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?” And his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the saying in mind. (10~11)

Joseph’s brothers were unaware of God’s plan of raising the twelve tribes through them. They only focused on the physical aspects and lost hold of these blessings and became jealous of Joseph. Ultimately, they weren’t able to relay the Gospel to Egypt and eventually became slaves. On the contrary, although Joseph faced a difficult time when he lost his mother, he began to pray. In the

midst of this, he was able to discover his God-given covenant, saw his vision, and started to dream of it. The moment Joseph held onto this covenant, many answers started to follow. What did Joseph know?

1. The First Missionary
Joseph held onto the covenant that he himself was a missionary. In the dreams he dreamt of when he was young, he saw sheaves of wheat, the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowing down before him as well as the works of the entire world kneeling before him(Genesis 37:7 and 9). God’s covenant was fulfilled in the field Joseph went into as a slave while holding onto this covenant. Not only that, God’s Kingdom was established in Egypt as well, which was the place where Joseph was a slave and eventually became the governor. Moreover, the works of the entire world being revived took place according to the covenant he held onto.

2. God Is with You
Rather than focusing on problems or answers, Joseph enjoyed WITH(God with you) and Immanuel(God with us). Furthermore, he also was aware of the blessings of oneness in which God works in all aspects. Although Joseph went to Egypt as a slave, God raised Joseph, who enjoyed this blessing, to the place of the Summit who would save Egypt and the entire world. If you also possess the correct faith of knowing God’s covenant like Joseph, works will absolutely arise.

3. Only God Is Capable
Joseph knew only God was capable of saving him when he was dragged to Egypt, from the sufferings he went through as a slave, and when he was imprisoned. He knew that only God was capable of raising him as the governor when he was doomed for eternal death. Joseph’s brothers, Potiphar, the general, and Pharaoh were incapable of doing these works. It was God who revealed this mystery to Joseph who held onto His covenant.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, thank you for calling me as a missionary who saves my field. As I enjoy Immanuel in my field, may I truly believe in the works in which only You are capable of doing. I will begin the covenantal prayer that will save my field.
