Spiritual Eyes and Worldly Eyes

Numbers 14:1~10 “Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them.” (9)

It was God’s absolute plan for the Israelites to enter into Canaan after the Exodus. The entire congregation of Israel who did not know this lamented and resented Moses and Aaron. However, Joshua and Caleb chose God’s plan. Like this, God has an absolute plan for every individual. If your spiritual eyes are opened, you will see His accurate plan and covenant, but if you possess only worldly eyes, you will only see that which is incorrect. What must you do in order to know this and hold onto God’s covenant?

1. Do Not Be Held Back by Your Past
The past will never come back again. The past is gone, yet 99.9% of people are easily stuck in it. By the time the Israelites had come out of Egypt, they had seen the ten miracles and passed through the divided Red Sea. But even then, they only listened to the ten spies and held onto their past. Joshua and Caleb possessed life’s greatest experience of “God being with them” in every past incident and were not stuck in their past.

2. Enjoy Your Greatest Today
You must find the “only, uniqueness, and re-creation” inside of your today. The sole devotion that you can do is “only.” When you find your “only,” God’s kingdom will come upon you(uniqueness) and you will go to the place where nobody else can go(re-creation). The Israelites received many answers during their time in the wilderness through the covenant of the Three Feasts, Ark of the Covenant, and the Temple Movement. That was also the time when Joshua and Caleb had the greatest experience of “God being with them.” The past has come to an end and is no longer viable, so you must receive strength today and enjoy the greatest covenant God has given.

3. Do Not Be Afraid of the Future
There is no reason to fear the impending future. Joshua and Caleb knew this and had spiritual eyes to see what was real. They reported that the people of the land and their protection had heard the rumors and fled. Joshua and Caleb saw the blessings of oneness that was realized through their past, today, and future. Thus, their time of 40 years in the wilderness was not a time of suffering for them. Instead, it became the process when God prepared them, and was the time of oneness when God did everything for His will. You must have spiritual eyes to see this.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, let me not be stuck in the past that will never come again or be afraid of the impending future. Let my spiritual eyes be opened to enjoy the blessings of enjoying today to the greatest extent.

[Bible Reading] Acts 20

[Gospel Memory Verse] 1 Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
