God made five promises to Abraham, who held onto the Gospel. First was the covenantal blessing. Accurately holding onto the covenant is the most important part of the walk of faith. Second was the fundamental blessing, which must be received in order to carry out world missions. Third was the representative blessing. You too must receive this blessing for others to see it through you. Fourth was the commemorative blessing. The fifth was the irresistible blessing, in which was something nobody could stop. God has a unique and unprecedented plan for you, so you mustn’t give up until you discover it.
1. The Watchman’s Prayer (Genesis 13:18)
Abraham began building an altar. This marked the beginning of a watchman’s prayer, a prayer that enjoys the power of the Throne. Through this, he set up the Bartizans, Journeys, and Guideposts of the Throne in every place he went.
2. Worship Prayer (Genesis 14:17-24)
Abraham continued enjoying prayer through worship. During this time, the Remnants began to rise. With 318 trained men from his household, he defeated four kings and recovered all the people and goods that had been taken. It was a spiritual victory over darkness. After the victory, Abraham met Melchizedek the priest and gave him a tithe. This was the restoration of the economy of light to save the church, the world, and the Remnants.
3. Prayer That Saves the Posterity (Genesis 22:1-22)
God tested Abraham. At that moment, He provided a ram in place of Isaac, Genesis 22:13 relaying both the Gospel and prayer to the posterity. God promised Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars, that they would possess the gates of their enemies, and that all nations would be blessed through his offspring.
God gave Isaac the blessings of a hundredfold, the fundamental source of the springs, and the blessing of Rehoboth. He changed Jacob’s name to Israel, and from Jacob came the twelve tribes. Through his son Joseph, world evangelization was carried out.
Dear God, help me not lose hold of the stream of the covenant and help me restore the true power of prayer. In Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
