The People Who Gathered in That Place

Acts 1:1~8 In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, (1) He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. (3) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (8)

You might worry about, “What must I do?” However, the more important question is, “Where am I?” The apostles gathered at the Mt. of Olives inside of God’s mystery. That field was a place that possessed unseen immense power. Afterward, the answer of defeating the powerful city of Rome followed. At the same time, Rome was the field where all the covenants were fulfilled. It was the place where Christ, who was spiritually victorious, sent His disciples to plant the flag of victory. What did the resurrected Jesus say to those who had gathered at the Mt. of Olives?

1. The Mystery of Christ
The resurrected Jesus confirmed the three mysteries of Christ at the Mt. of Olives. Jesus being the Christ is fact. Christ is the blessings of the king; prophet; and priest, and the mystery to completely destroy the three curses(disasters, Satan, and the background of Hell). Jesus also explained the mysteries of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father is the Lord of His Kingdom, God the Son is Christ, and God the Holy Spirit is with you in power. When you believe in this covenant and wait, you will become a witness.

2. The Mystery of God’s Kingdom
Jesus spoke about the mystery of God’s Kingdom for forty days. He said that God’s Kingdom would defeat and save Satan’s kingdom. Although the forces of darkness control the world(Ephesians 6:12), He has given His children the status and authority of Heaven for that very purpose. The disciples who came down from the Mt. of Olives did not even bat an eye while being persecuted by the Jewish people or Rome. Likewise, the church must proclaim Only Christ and the Kingdom of God, and only then, will everything be resolved.

3. The Mystery of “Only”
In the end, Jesus spoke about the mystery of “only”(Only Holy Spirit, only authority, and only witness) because it would be impossible to save the nation, the field, and the world with your limited strength. The mystery of “only” does not need to be revealed. If you really possess this mystery of “only,” you will gain the ability to change the world. The mystery of “only” realistically healed those suffering from diseases and altered the cultures of Israel and Rome that nobody else could change. Ultimately, the Gospel was witnessed all over the world.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, thank you for giving me Christ, Your Kingdom, and the mystery of “only.” With this amazing covenant, restore my strength and ability to save my family and family line, the field, and the world.

[Bible Reading] Colossians 1

[Gospel Memory Verse] Hebrew 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
