Become the Spiritual Summit First
Daniel 5:29~31 Then Belshazzar gave the command, and Daniel was clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. That very night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed. And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

God made an important promise to His people who have received salvation. He promised to make them the Spiritual Summit who has spiritual strength(Genesis 12:1~3 and Acts 1:8). God has called His people as the Spiritual Summit in order to save the world that is suffering from spiritual problems. Yet many Christians are unable to enjoy this blessing. Therefore, God has called you as the Remnant. Daniel knew this fact and enjoyed the blessings of the Spiritual Summit even before he was held captive. What are the blessings that Daniel enjoyed?
1. The State of the Spiritual Summit
Daniel accepted God’s covenant as a direct proclamation from God and decided to make his resolution. Because he was aware that he could not change God’s plan, he made his resolution and enjoyed the hardships he faced. Likewise, there is no reason for children of God to shake when they face crises. God has carried out His work of salvation through those Spiritual Summits who seemed lacking. You, too, must simply hold onto this covenant and enjoy it. Then, you will stand as a witness who possesses God’s evidence.
2. The Blessings the Spiritual Summit Received
Although Daniel was a captive in a colonized nation, he was used as the prime minister who relayed answers to three kings. Daniel interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and relayed the accurate message. King Nebuchadnezzar bowed down before Daniel and praised Daniel’s God. Afterward, King Nebuchadnezzar’s son, Belshazzar, became the successor. One day he was drinking wine from one of the golden vessels that was stolen from the Jerusalem temple, the fingers of a human hand appeared before him. It started writing strange words on the wall. When nobody was able to interpret the writing and were in confusion, Daniel was able to interpret the handwriting. Later, Daniel was even able to show more amazing evidence before the successor, King Darius.
3. The Goal of the Spiritual Summit
King Nebuchadnezzar stated in front of his people, “Truly, your God is God of gods and Lord of kings, and a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery.” King Belshazzar confessed, “Jehovah is God, the Savior of the entire world.” King Darius also confessed, “He is the living God, enduring forever.” Those were moments when the leader made a confession of faith in front of the entire nation. Furthermore, Babylon was a representative nation even among the other powerful nations. This is world evangelization and also God’s goal.
[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, may I stand as the Spiritual Summit who has spiritual strength like Daniel and become a witness of world evangelization.
