An Important Answer About Evangelism

  Before Jesus ascended, He spoke about the Kingdom of God for forty days. That means that a kingdom of Satan exists. When the mystery of God’s Kingdom is revealed, Satan’s Kingdom is destroyed. In addition, souls that had fallen in the kingdom of darkness are now completely liberated. This is an important answer about evangelism. Then, what is evangelism and how can you do it?

1. The Light of Truth That Shines in the Dark
  Evangelism is shining the light of truth onto darkness. God has called you for this work. Even if the smallest ember is in the dark, darkness disappears. This light existed in the beginning (Genesis 1:1~3) and has already come upon you. Arise and shine the light. (Isaiah 60:1~2) Because you have received the light, (John1:11~12) this light in you will shine on all people. (Matthew 5:15~16) You, who were once in darkness, are now in the marvelous light of God. (1 Peter 2:9)

2. One Person Who Will Save the Family Line, the Region, and the Nation
  You must change the concept of evangelism. One lighthouse is enough to avert a crisis at sea. Likewise, in order to block darkness in the field, one person needs to shine the true light of the Gospel. Then, Satan’s kingdom and the kingdom of darkness will collapse. Finally, the works of reviving the family line, the region, and the nation will take place.

  Evangelism is the lever that has moved history. (Matthew 24:1~14) As long as you enjoy God’s Kingdom, evangelism will naturally take place. That’s why evangelism is God’s Kingdom that is seen through me, and it is His Kingdom that is testified in the field. This is the Gospel that has come to you today. (Romans 16:25~27)

[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, I thank You for helping me to realize what true evangelism and important answers are. Wherever I go, help me to enjoy Your Kingdom and to shine the light of the Gospel.

[Deep Questions] Q. How Can I Get to the Harbor?

   During a revival conference in 1867, the great evangelist D.L. Moody heard an illustration in a sermon about a sea accident that took place on Lake Michigan.

   The accident occurred one night when the darkness swallowed up the starlight. In a severe storm, a passenger ship was heading for Cleveland Harbor in waves as high as mountains. However, the ship couldn’t be easily moved like a person’s heart. The only visible light came far away from a small lighthouse. Yet, the light didn’t last long. The little beam of light eventually lost its ability to shine and surrendered its power. As a result, the passenger ship hit a reef and stopped.

   D.L. Moody made the following confession after the sermon.
   “The Lord is our great lighthouse, and we are His small lighthouse. That is why we must shine our light in this dark world and lead souls to God.”

   After hearing D.L. Moody’s confession, praise leader Philip Paul Bliss was so impressed that he wrote hymn #510, “Brightly Beams Our Father’s Mercy.”

   The concept of evangelism must be changed.

The beam of light that emanates from the lighthouse is a source of hope for those at sea.
The light of Christ that you possess is the only way to lead others to the safe harbor of God’s Kingdom.
