Lesson 1. Why are people unhappy? (Rom.3:23)

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

I hope that you have answers that solve the problem through the ten times meeting of Gospel letter.

Gospel letter is written by Rev. Ryu himself in the year 1989.

He had made it while field evangelizing and copied and gave it to evangelists.

Gospel Letter have spread to North Korea as well as China and true believers are reading it.

And there are many big churches in the United States that use Gospel Letter.

 

I feel that the power of Gospel is so great.

You can tell by just looking at this book how important Gospel is to God.

Given that, you can guess how big an answer you will receive.

God uses you, the evangelists.

In the midst of that, the first meeting is why are people unhappy?

All are trying to be happy. People should rightfully be happy. 

I have been to church diligently ever  since I was young. 

In spite of that, I have no recollection of hearing about the blessings of Gospel and salvation.

It is crucial to know the problems of life, to realize the Gospel, and to enjoy the blessings given by God through the Bible. 

The books says, why are people who should rightfully be happy in the midst of agony, not finding happiness?

Some people are suffering from the problems of the family, health, finance, or mentality. 

Not being happy, they fall into alcohol, gambling, or dancing but they end up being unhappier. What is the reason? 

The Bible says like this. Mankind is separated from God. 

They are separated from God. So, they can't be happy. 

What does a newborn baby need the most?

Who does the baby need the most? It is the mother. 

Being just born, he needs to be in the mother's embrace. 

And the mother should breastfeed him. 

If the baby is fed with sugar water, he will die. 

He should be breastfed in the mother's arms.  

That is the happiest, and the most basic. 

But what if he is not fed? What if he doesn't have a mother?

What will happen? He will become the unhappiest. 

Then, this starved baby will grab anything to eat.

He doens't become happy. Some will suck on their fingers or toes.

Others will suck on any other objects.

Anything small will go into their mouth.

Some babies will put their poop into their mouth.

Even if the baby wears gold necklaces, gold bracelets, gold band around their ankle, or a gold belt, they can never be happy.

In some sense, they don't need it. All the baby needs is to be fed with the mother's milk.

It seems as though humans have everything they need, but they are deprived of happieness because the are separated from God.

What does that mean? From the beginning, mankind disobeyed God and they don't know about God.

In Rom. 3:23, there is an important word of God.

It says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

"For all have sinned"

People say, "I don't have any sin." This should be explained explicitly.

Mankind separated from God and committed the sin of "Not knowking God."

Consequently, they fall short of the glory of God. Every single one of them.

Also, Jn10:10 says,

The thief came and stole. As a result mankind fell into the midst of the sin.

Rom. 3:10 says, "There is no one righteous, not even one." 

 

That's why we have no choice but to fall into the suffering. There is God, but I am separated from him.

God is in control of your lives, but you are separated from him.

Becoming rich or poor is in the hands of God, but you are separated from God. That is the root of the suffering.

The one who made a person wealthy is God, but the person is separated from God.

This should be clearly understood and realized.

The Bible explicitly says that for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

All means every one.

That is why mankind must be saved, if not they will face problems constantly.

So, we should not be deceived.

No matter how much we struggle, it won't work in the end.

Even if we go to church, if we don't meet God, it won't work.

That is why people don't know God and face sufferings.

All includes Socrates. All includes Confucius. All includes Buddha. 

That is why offspring of the woman is a crucial word.

It is really important that the virgin gave birth to a son.

Except him, every one is included in all. Among all the bible verses, it is the most important.

In Ex. 3:18, blood sacfirice is an important word.

Dante wrote Divian Commedia. It means the song of God.

He wrote this book after experiencing the after life.

He wrote it in a very interesting way. It isn't Bible, so we don't have to believe it.

He visited hell. There were 9 hells.

People with the most sins will be put into the 9th hell, and the least will be put into the 1st hell.

Of course, this is just a story from Dante.

 When he went to the 9th hell, the scariest place, there were 2 people sitting there. How interesting it is.

 

When he took a look, one was Judas Iscariot.

 

And the other was Brutus who stabbed Julius Caesar last.

When he saw them, those two were in the 9th hell.

The two were floundering in waste water, and whenever they surfaced, the satan pressed their heads down. 

It says that they will be so until the the Second Coming of Christ. Simply put, they were trash.

Not the bible, but Dante says so.

There is one interesting thing. The 1st hell. Gathering of the people who sinned the least.

The other hells were full, and when he went there, there were three.

Dante boldly revealed their names. Socrates, Confucius, Buddha. He saw it well.

He just saw a vision but  saw it well. This was the 1st hell that confined the people with the least sins. It was the finest place in hell.

This place is called purgatory.

Among all the hells, this is the most joyous place. But it still is hell, so they can't go to heaven.

"For all have sinned"

We are not nihilists. We have nothing to give up on or no reason to be arrogant. Man separated from God can never be happy.

When did this unhappiness start?

 

The Bible tells us that it started from the first man, Adam and Eve, from their household.

So, it still is the same problem.

From the beginning and from their household, a problem occurred.

 

Only the Bible reveals the reason.

Gen.3 :15. No one tells of it, but only the bible does.

Result. Gen. 3:16-19

Until when will this unhappiness continue? Eph. 2:2 says the ruler of the kindom of the air. So, it is even continued right now.

But what we should look carefully is that it doens't just keep still. It increases. The suffering doesn't fade away but increases.

Mt.12:43-35 says the more you try to solve it, the severer it gets. The bible tells us of the spritual world. It says that 7 other spirits go in. It is serious. Because people don't know of the reason, problems keep on entering.   

Then, why doesn't this unhappiness disappear? There is a reason. Why doens' this problem disappear? It is not God who brings this unhapiness but there is somebody else. The Bible reveals who it is.

You should know who keeps on bringing this unhappiness.

We can see his name. It is call satan, demon, or devil. They keep on bringing.

Look carefully. When did we start to have this background?

Ezek. 28:10-14 reveals that the angels from heaven were corrupted.

But it also says that harps and tambourines were prepared for them.

What does this mean? It means that they were angels in charge of praise. I say once again that musicians should root down deeply in Gospel if they don't want to suffer from spiritual problems. If not, it will keep on happening.

Look at Ezekiel chapter 28. That is why praise is an important part of culture ministry.

This was how they were created but they were banished into the air.

In Eph. 2:2, it is written that they are the ruler of the kingdom of the air.

In Gen. 3:5, it struck Adam and Eve down.

And in Gen 6, it struck down the society.

Rev. 12:1-9, they created complete chaos on Earth. They still exist today.

Only when you understand this, your evangelism, your prayer, and your answers will be all different.

But you shouldn't misunderstand it like shamans. You have to accurately understand it and fight against it.

Mt. 25:41, it works until it will be locked up in hell.

The name 'satan' means the one who alianates and the one who separates.

They alienate us from God, from other believers; they alienate ministers from each others; they craftily work amongst people and make them alienated and destroy them. This leads people to destruction. That is mankind's background.

So, what happens when you don't know God?

Being separated from God, people have no choice but to have spiritual problems.

So, when you understand the reason of unhappiness, your answer starts.

People keeps on facing problems without knowing why.

Now that people face so many problems, they don't even know that they are problems.

Without knowing the reason, they keep on coming. No matter what, there is no happiness.

Then, what happens? You don't have rest in your heart.

Finally, the problems come down to physical level.

Eventually, people suffer from mental problems.

 

If this keeps on taking place, there is little hope.

If you are mentally captivated, even if you are aware of it, it won't work.

You keep thinking 'I shouln't gamble any more.' but you can't get out of it.

In the end, you end up in hell. This is how miserable a man's life is.

People struggle to find happiness somewhere else. But that happiness is momentary.

You look somewhere else again, but that also is momentary. After each moment, you keep on facing problems.

I pray that all of the pain, curses around you to crumble down.

When you truly believe, all is finished. The darkness that follows you knows you. So when you believe, it is over.

People try to find happiness somewhere else, but that is monentary and physical.

You can find joy in other places but they are just momentary pleasure.

After pleasrue follows suffering.

Even bigger one comes. You tried to find happiness but what you uncover is bigger unhappiness.  

Now that a real problem came, you fall into other things like fortune-telling or exorcism.

Some people who face big problems look toward shamans.

If one experiences this repeatedly, they keep on failing. This is the reason for unhappiness.

That is why God has given us eternal way. They way to salvation.

In Gen. 1:27, the first man lived together with God.

This is original man.

God created man in his own image.

Dogs and cows have mind but not spirit.

So, when animals' minds are gone, they are dead. They are not spiritual being. The only spiritual being is man.

However, as you know, the incident of Gen. 3 was even before the creation of Adam and Eve.

Satan tempted and separated mankind from God.

Mankind is completely divided from God.

Satan cut man away from God.

From this time on, no matter how you struggle, it won't work.

Even if you try to solve it with good deeds, it won't work.

Now that people have fallen into the state of non-believers, fundamentally, they have become children of the devil.

Jh. 8:44. What naturally follow is falling into idol-worshipping and shamanism.

Fallen in here, after some time has passed, people suffer from mental problems.

Just a little while after suffering from mental problems, they face physical problems.

Then, this problems won't just end but will lead you to death.

Then, regardless of your job or success, old void self eventually goes to hell.

If a man's problems end here, that is fine. But what you really need to pray about is that these problems exactly go down to your children.

Mom's spiritual problems are exactly relayed to her daughter. So, however the mom who became a shaman stuuggles, the daughter also becomes a shaman.  

So, even if your try really hard by doing good deed, you can't reach it. Why? Because you are in the demon's hand. Nothing works for you.

No matter how intelligent you are, no matter how hard you try by thinking deep into it, you can't solve it. You can't reach it.

But God did not leave people to die in destruction.

You must remember. God did not leave you as children of the devil.

Why would God live his children alone in destruction and leave them to die?

So, God made a plan.

Rom. 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Through the cross, Jesus opened the way to meet God.

There was no way before, but God opened the way through the cross, which sets us free from satan.

Why through grace? If not, we can't go. Why not good deed? Because good deeds can't buy it.

God opened the way and let people go through faith.

The moment you believe, the Holy Spirit dwells in you.

So, from now on, if you are just led by the Holy Spirit, You will always receive the answers to your prayers.

With the filling of the Holy Spirit, you will conquer the earth. Until here is about salvation.

You might ask.

Why did God leave man alone, knowing that satan will tempt man.

Then, did God not know that Adam and Eve would fall?

That is the same now. God only gave free will to mankind and angels.

God didn't give it to dogs. God gave it to mankind so that they can choose.

But with that, man fell.

God didn't create a manchine, but made us into the image of God, and opened the way to salvation.

Yet to all who received him, to those who beliebed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

He has crossed over from death to life. It is absolutely over. But why doesn't it work for you?

I have definitely accepted Jesus and break the forces of satan all day long, but how come it doens't work for me?

Some people confess Jesus is the Lord on the streets.

Other people even confess the same while eating a meal.

It is over but why doensn't it work for me?

Then how should we live the walk of faith? This is the issue. So you have to do this.

There is a chair in your heart.

For those who are not saved, the master of their heart is satan.

So, they are the slaves of satan.

Even though they read the Bible, and talk about Gospel, it has nothing to do with them.

Salvation is outside of their heart and they are the slaves of satan, so no matter what they do, there is no happiness.

But one day, you came to believe Jesus. You received salvation.

Christ came to your soul as the Holy Spirit.

Then satan will flee away. But then, you are the master of your heart.

Then, satan can attack you however it wants. That's why it doesn't work.

You are the master of yourself. You work for your gain and get angry for it.

So when you are attacked, you are helpless.

Because you are saved, you won't be destroyed. But things won't work for you.

But one day, you are changed. Christ is your master. You are inside of him.

Then, the attack won't work. Now the works of victory arise.

Then how can we conquer the world?

In Lk. 2:52, we can see the childhood of Jesus. We have to remember it.

It show how Jesus grew up. In Lk. 2:52, it says that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature.

It also says he grew in favor with God and men.

This is the life to conquer the world.

Growing in stature mean physical growth. It should grow.

Physical growth doesn't only mean height. You should grow strong in health.

So when you, who will be the evangelists, go back, start exercising so that you can stay healthy.  

Growing in wisdoem means growth in intellect.

You should read many books.

Don't watch TV too much. Read a lot of books.

 Intellectual growth should continuously take place. For children, their emotion is stabilized when they read books.

Your intellect should continuously grow. Then you can conquer the world.

Growing in favor with men means social growth. 

 

However, even if we are physically healthy, intellectually excellent, and treated highly among people, if one thing doens't take place, it won't work.

That is spiritual growth in front of God.

Combining the four, we conquer the world.

Many people are dying deprived of happiness.

Bible clealy tells us.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

From today, you will have a great answer of finding out true happiness.

On next Lord's day, we will study the second meeting. Let us pray.

We give thanks to God. Please break down our background that takes away happiness.

Please break down this long-standing background of darkness in Jesus' name. 

Please break down the forces of all the suffering that was controling our family line. 

We believe that the work of saving the world will take place through the power of the Gospel.
