It is easy to think that the field of public servants is difficult. Although they appear to have attained worldly success, they are in the field that makes them vulnerable to kneel before Satan’s summit. That is why God has prepared a different strength that must be cultivated. In every important age, God used the public servant who stood at the Gospel Summit, and Obadiah was a witness of this. What kind of strength did Obadiah enjoy?
1. The Strength to Understand People
Beginning with Obadiah, the Bible records public servants who possessed the strength to understand people. This strength started from agape love. Obadiah was both an officer who served the weakest king, Ahab, and a disciple of the greatest prophet, Elijah. He could fully understand King Ahab through agape love. Everyone’s souls will eventually die without the Gospel. The Gospel equates to love for the soul and evangelism is equivalent to love for nations. Even more, the act of missions is commensurate with love for the world and people. You must certainly cultivate these strengths.
2. The Strength of Oneness
Oneness happens through the people who are with God in the Gospel. The miracle of the Exodus arose when the public servants of Egypt who were Moses, Joshua, and Caleb, gathered together as one. (Exodus 3:15-18, Joshua 3:1-6, and 6:1-5) The answer of Israel becoming unified arose when David and Samuel became one team. (Psalm 78:70-72, 1 Samuel 16:1-13, and 1 Chronicles 29:10-14) The Israelites became one when Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Esther, Nehemiah, and the public servants during the age of Babylon became one. Likewise, the Early Church members enjoyed this blessing of oneness first and foremost. (Acts 1:1, 10:1-45, and Rome 16:11)
3. The Strength to Prepare for the Future (The Generation to Come)
The work of escaping the darkness happened through one person Obadiah. He secretly raised 100 prophets. Through this flow, the Dothan Movement with Elijah and the 7,000 disciples prepared by God took place. Likewise, you must have the strength to raise the future generation, public officials, and leaders who can rise above ideologies. If public servants raise the TCK (third culture kids: children of parents who each have a different ethnicity) and NCK, (no culture kids: kids who receive no benefits from any culture) then world evangelism will be accomplished through developed countries that possess the Gospel.
[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, let me stand as the Gospel Summit who defeats Satan’s summit. Let me gain the different strength you have prepared. With this strength, let me save the generations that are to come, nations, and the world.
