The believers of the Early Church were weak. However, they possessed the mystery of overcoming those who were strong. That mystery was, in fact, the Gospel. Therefore, God’s children must accurately understand it. The reason why the Jewish people perished and powerful nations were destroyed was because they didn’t understand the Gospel correctly. The Gospel is complete, sufficient, and eternal. (totality, sufficiency, and eternalness) If that is so, who are the people who overcame the world through the Gospel?

1. The People of Galilee (Acts 1:11)
Most of the people of Galilee were weak fishermen, yet, they met Christ. (Matthew 16:13-20) The representative figure was Peter. He was a fisherman who moved the world after realizing the mystery of Christ. Furthermore, after seeing Christ’s resurrection, he became aware of the fact that even now Christ who has all authority in heaven and on earth and unseen to his eyes was completely with him.

2. The People of the Mt. of Olives (Acts 1:1-8)
Jesus called the disciples to the Mt. of Olives. There, He showed them God’s Kingdom and its works. (Acts 1:3) You, too, are a child of God who knows this covenant. The children of God must live holding onto the blessings of God’s Kingdom. On the other hand, many people of this world are dying even though they have many possessions. God gave you the mission of saving those people as well. (Acts 1:8)

3. The People of Mark’s Upper Room (Acts 1:14)
The believers of the Early Church were falsely labeled as heretics and were faced with a crisis. However, they knew that it actually wasn’t. Rather, they are remembered as those who had received the greatest power in history. (Acts 2:1-47) You must begin all works including your studies and businesses in the midst of enjoying this individually and in the church. This is the mystery to overcome the world.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, may I not be deceived by my weaknesses, but rather start anew while holding onto “Only Gospel.” Grant me the blessings of saving the church, people, and the world through the Gospel.

[Gospel Memory Verse] Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16:24)
