Rahab, Disciple of the 237 Nations and the 5,000 People Groups

Thousands of people from the 237 nations and 5,000 people groups around the world live without ever hearing the Gospel. God desires for them to hear the Gospel and receive salvation. In addition, He is looking for disciples who will align their desires and directions with God’s. How can you enter this line with God?

1. Relying on God Rather than Rumors
The spies who were dispatched into Jericho hid in Rahab’s house. When this was disclosed, the king’s guards came to her house to confront her, but Rahab lied; hid the spies; and kept them safe. Rahab wasn’t shaken by the voices of the world or people’s words. Instead, she believed in the God of Heaven and earth who led the Israelites out of Egypt and who split both the Red Sea and the Jordan River. Rahab asked the spies to save her and in turn, the spies told her to tie a scarlet cord in the window. Just as God had promised, Jericho fell to Israel, and Rahab as well as her family were saved.

2. Entering the Genealogy of Jesus Christ
Rahab, who was a Gentile woman, was added to the genealogy of Jewish kings. The Bible records that Salmon and Rahab had Boaz, Boaz and Ruth had Obed, Obed fathered Jesse, and Jesse fathered David. Eventually, Jesus Christ was born in the bloodline of David so ultimately, Rahab stood in the line of the works of salvation.

God is looking for disciples who can embrace the various ethnicities, 5,000 people groups, 237 nations, and enjoy the mystery of prayer that transcends time and space. Through the background of the throne of His Kingdom, God will be with His disciples and give them the evidence of restoring lives.

Dear God, thank you for solving the fundamental problems of life through Jesus Christ. Help me to as a watchman, a spiritual doctor who heals, and an ambassador of Jesus Christ who shines the light on people groups and nations that haven’t heard the Gospel. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

* Who Surrounded the Important People Whom God Used in the Bible? Were They People Who Possessed Faith?

Rather than people who possessed faith, there were more people who didn’t know or believe in God. Despite that, God gave them indispensable roles. All those whom Joseph met until he became the governor did not know God. It was the same when Paul went to Rome.

Right now, people of various ethnicities and nations have already gathered in your fields and surroundings.

You must see them as doors to evangelism and as paths to save their nations.
