The world states that if you discover and fully devote yourself to what you want to do, your potential will be unlocked and displayed. That may sound very attractive, but concentration without God will ultimately lead to spiritual starvation. People who have been created in God’s image must discover what He wants and live by doing that. Then, how can you discover this?
1. Follow What God Has Revealed
By developing your potential and achieving self-realization, you can reach a stable and relaxed socio-economic status. However, those can never resolve the spiritual state of leaving God, being bound by sin, and being chained by the forces of darkness. The sole truth that is needed for those who’ve left God and the world that’s ignorant of Him is “only Gospel.” That’s why knowing this Gospel is grace and God’s calling.
2. Enjoy What You Already Possess
Most people yearn for a full stomach, prosperous life, recognition, and love from others. Elisha, who sought after a double portion of spirit, saw what God had wanted. Through Elisha who had seen in advance God’s promises and desires, God raised him as the disciple to lead the age, enabled him to overcome powerful nations without fighting, and helped him to gain the king’s trust.
You need to receive inspiration from God as well. When you focus on the Gospel and meditate on the Word, God will give you strength and enable you to clearly know His heart.
Dear God, please open my spiritual eyes to see the things that belong to You. Help me to cultivate the strength to save the world and raise me as a witness. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
* What Should I Do When Bad Things Happen?
Despite knowing with your head that everything is under God’s absolute sovereignty, your unsettled heart cannot be calmed and your complicated thoughts don’t go away. Furthermore, those “bad things” only seem bad because of “your standards,” but from God’s perspective, they’re quite different.
By thinking that bad things come with God’s proper answers may make them easier to understand. Under no circumstances does God want His children to get hurt or be harmed.
God has the best plans in store for you and works in unexpected and diverse ways.
