What Have God’s Children Lost Hold of?

Exodus 14:13│ Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.”

Hymn #391 A Wonderful Savior Is Jesus My Lord (Unified Hymn 446)

It is God who created the world and man. That's why we call Him the “Creator,” the Master of creation. Those who believe in Jesus as the Christ are people of “re-creation.” Since you were created by God, it’s most natural and appropriate to live with the power and wisdom given by the Lord God. Then, how can you make the things of God as your own?

1. Those Who Stand before Limitations
Because people are separated from God, the more they try to create something new, the more they’ll run into limitations. Even after becoming God’s children, people who are full of personal thoughts and plans won’t set apart time to understand God’s thoughts. Instead, they’ll make decisions according to their own will; accomplish tasks on their own; and pray for blessings because they’ve worked hard and did well. As a result, they’ll be drawn into the stream of the great world; fail; and become filled with scars which cause their hearts to become burdened. Because their hearts are so complicated, their thoughts will become stained and diseased.

2. Three Types of Concentration
Because God created people in His own image, by communicating with Him, they can live peacefully and powerfully just like the flow of water. Moreover, people must engrave in their hearts; plant in their minds; and imprint in their souls that the only method of ending slavery and coming out of Egypt is by applying the blood of the lamb. God wants people to be deeply rooted and enjoy His power and guidance while observing Passover which is the secret of salvation, Pentecost which is the mystery of power, and the Feast of Ingathering which is the mystery of the throne. Just like engraving the Word in stone, God wants you to keep His Word in your heart and enjoy it in your life.

When you focus on those three points, you’ll receive strength that only God can give. Then, with that strength, when you study and research; work and do business; raise children; and fulfill your duties, God will grant the power of “re-creation” that cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Dear God, thank you for Your love and the grace of salvation. Please help me to live each day with the strength given by You. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

* Why Is the Habit of Taking Memos Important?

Engraving God’s Word in stone may be difficult in reality; however, you can always write it in your notebook or input notes in your cellphone.

Write words or phrases that you’ve grabbed hold of from today’s message and write them on the blank lines of this page.

By doing so, you can write; read what you’ve written; listen as you read; think back; and remember.

That is the start of making the things of God as your own.
