God planned to completely remove the Israelites from their status as slaves. He prepared Moses, revealed the ten disasters, and brought the Israelites out of Egypt. However, it continued to the point where the Egyptian horsemen and troops chased after them. Why did God harden the hearts of the Egyptians?
1. God Who Revealed His Absolute Promise
Even now, God is operating the world and history around the great plan of salvation. He promised that those who had left Him would become strangers in foreign lands for 400 years. However, they would be freed from failure and curses if they offered blood sacrifices. All the Egyptian armies and chariots were slaughtered, and the whole world saw the living God. This contained God's plan for the posterity to remember these historical events and not forget Him.
2. Within Absolute Impossibility, God Works with Power
Although they escaped from Egypt despite ups and downs, the Red Sea blocked their way. The Red Sea stood in front of them and the Egyptian army followed from behind. Moses boldly proclaimed to stand still in faith to see what the Lord would do. Eventually, the Red Sea parted, and the Israelites crossed. The Egyptian chariots and soldiers that were pursuing the Israelites all sank into the sea. Even in this age, God carries out the works of salvation.
In situations and circumstances that are absolutely impossible, are you a person of resentment or a person of prayer?
Dear God, inside of absolute impossibility, open my eyes to see Your plan of salvation and grant me bold faith. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
* When Will Today Become Tomorrow?
The seeds sown today will sprout a week later, and stems will appear three weeks after that. Within a few days, small leaves will appear. They’ll soon get bigger and bigger and finally, a flower will bloom. I wonder what kind of flower it’ll be. The best way to find out is confirming what kind of seeds were sown.
What you plant today will shape who you’ll be tomorrow, in one year, five years, and ten years later. When the time to connect with God is accumulated and connected to the blessings of the throne of the Kingdom of God, and the time of prayer that transcends time and space is gathered one after another, you’ll grow into a healthy and strong tree. As an evangelist who gives resting places to children, spouses, parents, brothers, and sisters, you must bear fruit through a beautiful light that will save the whole world. What are you planting right now?
