Who is Jesus Christ ?
Who is Jesus Christ?
Theologically speaking, he is our Savior.
Today, I’ll testify about him, Jesus Christ
First of all, what is mankind’s problem and its cause? Rom. 3:23 says that for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. From the beginning, man committed sin before God, cannot go before God, and cannot meet God.
The answer the cause is written in Gen. 3:1. Mankind was deceived by Satan and became separated from God.
It seems like just eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge, but fundamentally, mankind didn’t obey God’s word and followed Satan.
As a result, mankind became separated from God and had to live as slaves of Satan. The result is clearly written in John 8:44. Your father the devil. He is the father of lies. That is his being. The Bible clearly states that from that time on, mankind fell in the hands of Satan and became children of Satan.
This is the fundamental problem of mankind. The Bible said, this is what Jesus said to the Jews. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
The Jewish who claim that they believe in God have the same nature as the devil. They are not being dragged into it. Of their own will, they chose to have a nature united with the devil. Because of that, their wish and their nature hate and fight against Jesus. They are caught in a frightening snare. There are many people like this. Rom. 6:23 says that because of sin, people fell into eternal death.
So, what does Jesus have to do with this problem?
John 1 says Jesus is the one who came to solve the problem of sin and death, the Word that became flesh.
1John 3:8 says that he destroyed the devil’s work – who has the authority of sin and death. He came to break down the forces of devil’s authority. Mankind failed being deceived by Satan, So He has to break it down. The Bible says that the one who does what is sinful is of the devil. The sinner means all people. It says that all people committed sin. That is why all people are of the devil.
What kind of being is this Satan? The devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
Then, how did Jesus confess about himself? He says in John 10 that I and the Father are one.
Again the Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” The jewish people didn’t admit that Jesus is the Son of God, but pick a fight. But Jesus clearly says that I and the Father are one. If you cannot believe me, see the work I do and believe. Even though He is doing what man cannot do, the jews didn’t believe.
In John 14:7, Jesus says that If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. It is because Jesus and God are one. So if you do not believe in God after seeing Jesus, that means you do not believe in God.
Many religions claim that they believe God. But do they really believe Jesus as Christ? They don’t. They do something else not having the gospel. For heresies, it is understandable, but even among believers; we can see this kind of people often. That is all because they do not have the gospel, and do not believe Jesus, which means they do not believe God. They believe their own experiences, but not God.
Resurrected Jesus said “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. He is the only one who has all authority in heaven and on earth. It means he can mobilize the army of the angels, and conquer the darkness, the evil spirits, and the devil of the earth. He is the Christ. Believing in Jesus is amazing.
Then, what did people who met Jesus Christ confess?
Peter confessed that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Thomas who was the most dubious among the disciples met resurrected Jesus and confessed my lord, my God after he saw the prints of the nail in his hand and his side.
Jesus said, those who have seen Me, and have believed are blessed but more blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” This is God’s grace. We haven’t seen, but believe. This is grace of the Holy Spirit and blessing of God.
Persecutor Paul repented and came back to the Lord. After he met resurrected Lord, he confessed that I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man. Now I have changed into this man by God’s grace. When you receive God’s grace, you can confess like this.
Then, what did roman soldiers who nailed Jesus to the cross confess? After they saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they confessed, “Surely he was the Son of God!” This is what the centurion who had soldiers under him confessed. “Surely he was the Son of God!
Then lastly, how can we meet Jesus? We have to meet and believe Jesus. In John 1:12, to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name. Receiving and believing are the same thing. Faith is invisible, but receiving is more tangible. That means you ask Jesus to rule you and lead you as your king and master.
Revelations 3:20 says that as you accept Jesus into your heart, you can believe in Jesus. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Accept Jesus into your heart.
Lastly, John 2 says that when Jesus becomes your master miracles take place. This is living a walk of faith. If you are the master of your life after accepting Jesus, there won’t be any changes in you. But one day if you can truly confess that Jesus is the master of your life, from that time on changes take place. A man cannot change another man. God should intervene. The Holy Spirit should come upon you. When the Spirit of Jesus – the Holy Spirit – comes upon us, walk of faith takes place.
May you restore everything and restore blessings with the faith of believing in Jesus.
Let us pray. Loving God, We thank you for your grace. Through the precious Word, we came to know who Jesus is and saw that everyone who saw Jesus confessed that Jesus is the Christ, and were victorious in their walk of faith. Please work upon all the members so that they can realistically realize the Gospel of Jesus Christ and truly confess from the depth of their heart that Jesus is the Christ. We thank you and pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
