When the Israelites suffered hardship in the wilderness, they poured out their grumblings and complaints. At that time, Joshua saw the crisis truthfully and entered “prayer 24.” He knew that God’s authority was the only way to solve it. How did Joshua pray and receive answers?

1. The Unprecedented and Never-Repeated Answer That Joshua Experienced While Going with Moses
Joshua, who in the past walked with Moses, held onto the unprecedented and never-repeated answer that he had experienced as his covenant again. In the field, Joshua obeyed the Word that the Lord was with him just as He had been with Moses and stood as the one who remained, a pilgrim, and a conqueror. Then, the prayer of transcending the environment and himself came out which later stopped the sun and the moon. Furthermore, he was able to boldly overcome the problems of reality by seeing in advance the future land that God had promised.

2. Without Being Deceived by the Situation, Begin Prayer
Regarding the incident when his brothers sold him as a slave, Joseph confessed that God had sent him ahead to save the world. Indeed, it was a situation where he could’ve received scars and resented his brothers, but he didn’t give the confession that Satan wanted. Likewise, when you face problems or crises, you mustn’t be deceived by the situation; instead, take it before God as a prayer topic. If you don’t fall into momentary deception, you’ll see God’s eternal answer.

When problems or incidents arise, God’s children don’t have to be discouraged or even be courageous. They must truthfully see reality and begin “prayer 24” that seeks God’s authority.

Dear God, may problems and crises be the start of enjoying the unprecedented and never-repeated answer. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Open my eyes, that I may see glimpses of truth Thou hast for me place in my hands the wonderful key that shall unclasp, and set me free.

Silently now I wait for Thee, ready, my God, Thy will to see. Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit divine!
