Israel's Misconception

Jonah 1:1-10 / But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the LORD. (3)

There's a reason why answers can't be received. People don't start with what's real; instead, they continue to do what's wrong. The Israelites had the same misconception as Jonah, and it's even your misconception as well. Because the powerful nations were evil, the Israelites became deluded and thought that those nations would continue to attack. However, the truth was that Israel, which had received the unique blessing of world evangelization, hadn't relayed the Gospel. Unaware of this, Jonah, who was told by God to go to Nineveh, ran away to Tarshish to flee from Him. Likewise, if you hold onto what's incorrect and have misconceptions when the true covenant is given, then like Jonah, you'll face ruin even though you invest money. Now, with the Triune God; the "5 Powers"; the "9 Blessings of the Throne"; and the blessing of saving the church and the age, you must really begin. In addition, there were three lessons given to Jonah.

1. Those Who Know the Three Ends Will Absolutely Receive Answers
There's an end for each individual. Therefore, there's no need for you to hold onto what's wrong and suffer. There's nothing else to do except the Gospel movement. However, there will be an end of the age. That was why God told Jonah to go to Nineveh. In the end, Jesus will come again as the Lord of the Second Advent. That will be the end of the earth. Those who know these three ends will absolutely receive answers.

2. Those Who Know the Three Evidences Won't Be Destroyed
First of all, they know what the Triune God is doing at this moment. Even now, the Triune God fulfills the Word; gives answers to prayers; and carries out the ministry of salvation. This was told to Jonah. Furthermore, the Gospel; evangelism; and missions will never change. Similarly, the movement that restores the Gospel which is slowly ceasing to exist will never be destroyed.

3. God's Future Is Guaranteed for Those Who Prepare for the Future
Because God had both a future that would save Nineveh which faced destruction and a future to restore the people of Israel who had lost hold of the Gospel, He spared Jonah's life. For those same reasons, you can't be destroyed, and there's no reason to feel discouraged. The start hasn't even begun yet. In addition, real blessings remain, so you just need to realize that.

Now, in 70 regions, the 70 disciples' movement must be carried out. Jonah thought, "How can I find 70 disciples even though I'm so busy?" It may seem as if God's Word and your thoughts don't match; however, just follow the Word.

Dear God, even today, thank you for giving Your grace to Your people. Thank you for blessing me so that I won't be deceived by what's wrong. Help me to begin anew with the things that belong to You. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
