"My 24 Hours" That Daniel and the Three Friends Enjoyed

Daniel 3:16~18 & 6:10~28 / Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. (6:10)

Hymn #368 Heart Longings (Unified Hymn 486)

Remnants must always do "24." They must always hold onto God's will and Word regarding today and where they are. Also, they must always enjoy "two lifelines." The first is "prayer" that becomes imprinted on the brain and soul and communicates with the throne. The second is "breath" that controls the body and mind. In addition, Remnants should always be thankful and be at peace. At this point, answers will come, and they'll gain strength. In doing so, Remnants can have renewal and take on challenges. For Daniel, even though he always did this prayer, difficulties arose. However, his eyes to see those difficulties were different. Daniel prayed three times a day "as he had done before" (Daniel 6:10) and always prayed as he worked. (Daniel 6:20 & 22) Like Daniel, if Remnants start to gain strength through "scheduled prayer," then prayer will always take place. Then just like Daniel who learned the reason of the destructions of Israel and the temple and why he was held captive, Remnants will know the reason for their difficulties.

1. Daniel and the Three Friends Resolved before God (Daniel 1:8~9)
For Daniel and his three friends who knew the reason, they were fearless and resolved not to worship idols. Furthermore, they knew the time schedule. They knew that they were there to enjoy and relay God's power. That's why they had decided that if anyone had a problem, they resolved to give answers.

2. The 24 Hours Found in the Names of Daniel and the Three Friends
Daniel means "God is my Judge." Hananiah means "The Lord shows grace." Mishael means "Who is equal to God?” Azariah means “The Lord helps.” This was the 24 hours and the prayers of Daniel and his three friends.

3. Daniel and the Three Friends Who Saw Answers in Advance
If Remnants always do this prayer, they'll see answers in advance when incidents occur. When the three friends were about to be executed for not worshiping the image of gold, (Daniel 3:8~24) and when Daniel was thrown into the den of lions, (Daniel 6:10~22) they saw great answers. Ultimately, through them, many people came to know God. (Daniel 12:3)

Everything that Daniel had said before kings was his confession of faith. In this way, all the Remnants' answers and errands are evidences and their confessions of faith as well. These most important matters are the Word and prayer which Remnants must always do.

[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, throughout today, may I gain strength through the Word and prayer. May spiritual healing arise, and may I enjoy the blessing of the Summit. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
