The Mission to Have First

Matthew 25:1~12 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ (6~9)

12,23, 2018. 2nd: The Mission to Have First (Mt 25:1-12)

No church has endured as many hardships as the Early Church. However, the members of the Early Church did not shake because they confirmed and were convicted of several mysteries. They held onto the mystery of Christ as their answer and enjoyed the work of God’s Kingdom given to them as their mission. Furthermore, they knew the age of the forces of darkness would crumble, and they also possessed the mystery to save it. Here are a few points that you must also remember.

1. Worship and Prayer
When you worship and pray holding onto the covenant, the power of the Word will become evident. When you hold onto the covenant of Christ and wait, the power of the Gospel will emerge. This was why and how the Early Church easily surpassed the Jewish organization. Likewise, for you who hold onto this covenant, the same works of the Holy Spirit will arise. That is the reason why the prayer that holds onto worship and the covenant is very important.

2. A Prayer for Evangelism and Missions
When you pray for evangelism and missions holding onto this covenant, important works will arise because God gives tremendous answers. Even when you are unaware, doors will be opened by the Holy Spirit(Acts 2:9~11). In addition, the doors to healing(Acts 8:4~8) and important meetings(Acts 8:26~40) will begin. Most certainly, in the field where that covenant will be realized, God’s heavenly angels will be mobilized. Also, the doors to Antioch which will save the world and the path to Rome evangelization which will demolish the enemy will open.

3. When Facing Crises
The 7 Remnants in the Bible and the figures of the Early Church and Hebrews 11 also faced crises. All these people held onto the covenant, prayed, and worshiped. That is why facing crises in the midst of being used for evangelism and missions became a greater answer for them. The angel of the Lord was dispatched and helped Daniel and his three friends. An angel was mobilized and struck down King Herod who had locked up Peter. The moment Paul faced a crisis, an angel of the Lord delivered the covenant. These works arise even now. A greater fact than this is that God makes you pray in the midst of your crises, so that you can be filled with the Holy Spirit and enter into the works that no one can block.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, open my spiritual eyes and give me spiritual knowledge, and help me to hold onto the covenant of Your Word to save the churches in the world.

[Bible Reading] John 10

[Gospel Memory Verse] Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
