FEBRUARY 26 SAT

Those Who Enjoyed in Advance

1 Kings 18:4│“(...and when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)”

You’re mistaken if you think that it’s a blessing not to be in trouble. The opposite is also true. Meeting a friendly person or making things go the way you want mustn’t be confused as blessings. The age is getting worse day by day, and many people live with mental illnesses or suffer from psychological pressures. If you don’t open your eyes to see the spiritual disasters in this world, you can collapse because of a lack of strength. You must find the answer in God’s Word.
1. The Answer to See Yourself in the Stream of the Word
You must be able to see the Sunday pulpit messages, training messages, and each message by age or field as one stream. To do this, you need time to focus on the Word and meditate on it. At that time, you’ll see the time schedule that God is working on, and real answers will begin when you identify yourself within it. Seeing yourself in the stream of the Word is the greatest blessing.

2. Discover Things to Enjoy in Advance through the Word
Obadiah wasn’t interested in the world's standards or gaining the king's trust and ascending to a higher position or using his power to gain wealth. He risked his life to hide and feed 100 prophets. After that, the 850 false prophets were overthrown; the disasters of the age were prevented; and the forces of darkness were destroyed. Obadiah, who saw God's desire and the needs of the age, played a decisive role in raising the 7,000 hidden disciples.

If you check where you are in the stream of the Word, you’ll find what God has given you at home, church, school, and work.

Dear God, help me to focus on the Word today so that I can hear Your still small voice. And guide me to discover what You’ve given to me. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

* What Is Baseless Self-Confidence?

What is baseless self-confidence? If a friend who hasn't studied for his exam says, “I think that I'll get a perfect score this time!” Baseless self-confidence is used when you think you can do anything, but you aren’t really prepared or you don’t have the ability to do it properly. You use it when you’re full of confidence, but no one can see why.
Interestingly, the opposite is “founded confidence.” It’s also a feeling that expresses hard work. You don't mean to be pretentious, but you want to have confidence, pride, and self-esteem based on your faith in your identity as a child of God, your background in His Kingdom, and in His promise to lead with responsibility until the day of Jesus Christ.
