The Fruit of the Gospel

Matthew 7:15-20 / By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? (16)

Hymn #263 I Hear the Savior Say (Unified Hymn 197)

Not having a background means that it isn't needed. This is why there's no reason to worry. If you're discouraged because of poverty, you need to begin properly. If you're having difficulty with your walk of faith, then at church, don't speak the words of people or the world; instead, hold onto God's covenant. Although Rome was a powerful nation, it ran errands for Satan and the Pharisees were enslaved to that, so don't fear, envy, or look down on this world that Satan has seized.

1. Don't Be Deceived by the Past of Jewish People and Pharisees
Jesus warned you to watch out for false prophets. (Matthew 7:15) He's telling you not to fall into slavery, captivity, and colonization just like the Jewish people and Pharisees had. However, more important is the fact that you're already a slave, a captive, and are colonized by Satan. That's why you must refrain from going any deeper, so don't be deceived.

2. Don't Look at the Incidents That Arise Today and Become Envious
You must look at the world well. Although unbelievers seem as if they're doing well, that isn't the case. You must receive answers and heal them. There's no need to envy the world because the blessings of the world are incorrect blessings. Jesus talked about the Beatitudes. Among them, Jesus said that those who were poor in spirit, those who mourned, and those who were persecuted for righteousness were blessed. Furthermore, He said, “For theirs is the kingdom of heaven." That's the reason why you mustn't be deceived.

3. Don't Be Afraid of the Future
In AD 70, Israel was destroyed; became a wandering people; and was brutally slaughtered. However, among them, a few who possessed the Gospel saved the world. So, there are a few points to keep in mind. First, "go and be reconciled to your brother” before giving worship, (Matthew 5:23-24) "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness," (Matthew 6:33) and lastly, before criticizing others, "take the plank out of your own eye." (Matthew 7:1-5) In addition, remember that the prayers of those who possess the Gospel are placed in a vessel and delivered directly to God through angels. (Revelation 8:3-5) Finally, keep in mind that if you plant the the tree of life that saves people, the fruit of evangelism will appear.

As you teach the posterity about the "3 Camps" and the "3 Ceremonies," you must pray that the church becomes the "3 Lighthouses."

Dear God, help me become a person of the covenant who isn't deceived today. Because I have to save this world, grant me the faith not to envy it or to become deceived. Moreover, grant me faith not to fear this dying world in which I live. I pray that today will be the day of the covenant as I find the sure path. May today be the beginning of an unforgettable start in my life. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
