All Who Labor and Are Heavy Laden

Matthew 11:28~30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #389 O Lord, I Heard You Calling ‘Come to Me’

There are many people who live in the midst of difficult circumstances. Jesus said, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." All people separated from God are laden with this burden. This is a longstanding problem that cannot be solved on your own, so that is why God sent Christ who said, "Come to me." God had prepared a work that no one expected. What must you, who know this, do?

1. What Must You Organize? – Three Points
You must first organize three key points in order to receive grace. First of all, you must not lie or blame others for your circumstances because it isn’t anyone’s fault. Next, you must not be deceived. There is absolutely no other way. Finally, you should remember that there is a work that God wants to do.(John 9:3) The 7 Remnants and the heroes of faith from Hebrews 11 looked like they were facing hardships, but God had prepared blessings in the midst of those hardships that no one expected.

2. "Come to Me" - Come Just as You Are
God wants you come before Him just the way you are because you do not possess any conditions to receive salvation. That is why Christ who has the power to save you said, "Come to me". Whoever comes to Christ will receive true rest. Nothing is a problem inside of Christ.

3. "Take My Yoke upon You" - Go with the Mission God Has Given
Christ said, "Take my yoke" which means to go with the mission God has given you. This yoke is easy and light because Christ is with you. Afterwards, amazing works happened. Jesus finished all the problems on the cross,(Mt. Calvary) explained about God’s Kingdom for forty days,(Mt. of Olives) and the works of Mark's upper room began.(Mark's upper room) Later on, fulfillment of the Word continuously took place at the churches of Mark's Upper Room, Antioch, and in Rome.

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, may this be the beginning of turning all spiritual problems into platforms of blessings. Let the illnesses of the body lead to the filling of the Holy Spirit, problems in the family line lead to world evangelization, and problems of the next generation lead to the future movement.

[Bible Reading] Luke 14

[Gospel Memory Verse] No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
