NOVEMBER 10 Thurs.
My 24 Hours That Elijah and Elisha Enjoyed
2 Kings 2:9-11 / When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?" "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied. (9)
Hymn #135 Oh, How Sweet the Glorious Message (Unified Hymn 133)
There are questions that you must always ask. "What is absolutely necessary?” "What is absolute?" "What must be done?" Wherever you go, you must ask these questions. By doing so, you'll see God's important will. Within the many works that take place around you, you'll ask and discover what God's plan is. At that time, what's important is that your spiritual state will change. Similarly, one person, Obadiah, who asked these questions later helped Elijah and Elisha which turned into great works. Then, what kinds of works happened?
1. Elijah and Elisha
By simply asking a sincere question to God, you'll hold onto a great covenant. Answers will begin from this point. That was the case for Elijah and Elisha. Elijah held onto the covenant of blocking the 850 false prophets. Moreover, Elisha received the covenant of saving people through the Dothan movement. Whenever you give worship, you must ask about what's absolutely necessary; what's absolute; what must be done; and God's plan. In doing so, the covenant will surely come to you.
2. The Journeys of Elijah and Elisha
Only when the covenant emerges will this journey and covenant become "24." The small covenant that Elijah held onto fulfilled the "absolute plan" of destroying the 850 false prophets. In addition, the "absolute covenant" that saved many people and even raised a dead child was fulfilled. Ultimately, Elijah and Elisha met, and the “absolute journey” began. Within that journey, the “absolute goal" of Elisha being raised as a disciple was fulfilled. In the end, Elijah was able to confirm the 7,000 disciples whom God had hidden.
3. The Dothan Movement Which Is the Eternal Monument,
Elijah and Elisha only held onto the covenant, but it was left behind as an eternal monument. By holding onto the accurate covenant, you'll undoubtedly go on the "absolute journey" which will leave behind what's eternal. This is the "Dothan Movement."
At that time, a personal secret covenant with God that only you can do will come out. By firmly holding onto it, your studies; occupation; and business will change.
[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, thank you for calling Your people. May today be a precious day when I hold onto Your accurate covenant. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
