DECEMBER 16 Fri.
"My 24 Hours" That Mordecai and Esther Enjoyed
Esther 4:12-17 / "Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish." (16)
Hymn #573 Obeying God and His Word
Most people believe that they have to work hard according to what they've learned in the world. However, they've lost hold of the need to accurately hold onto God's Word. Even though it wasn't the season, Jesus cursed the fig tree that didn't have any fruit. At that time, the disciples didn't ask why He had done that. Later, they were completely shocked to see that the very same fig tree had withered. Like this, there are times when you lightly regard God's Word or live an amazing walk of faith only when a special answer comes. When you read the Word, if you ask about God's plan, you'll surely see His time schedule and know His goals. For Mordecai and Esther, who held onto the Word of God, what kind of answers did they receive after hearing the prophecy of Prophet Isaiah?
1. The Covenant in Advance
Because Esther knew the reason why she was taken captive, she didn't have any difficulties. In addition, because she knew why she had become queen, she didn't become excited. She was like that because she knew in advance the important plan that God would fulfill, (Esther 2:10 & 4:16)
2. Three Vital Points within Incidents
When Esther was queen, (Esther 2:10) a crisis that would cause the Israelites to become annihilated arose. (Esther 3, 4, & 6) At that time, when Esther saved the people of Israel, it became known as the "Feast of Purim." (Esther 9 & 10) Similarly, the reason why you've been called to this place and in this age as a church officer is to save people.
3. A Monumental Blessing
What kind of monument is it? There are two kinds. The first is to deliver the answer of the "Feast of Purim" to the posterity and those around the world. The second is to show that no one can stand against the Lord which is an eternal mark that you'll leave behind for those who stand in awe and fear God.
Within all problems and incidents, prepared answers and hidden blessings for the sake of world evangelization surely exist. Therefore, no one can change God's "absolute plan" and "absolute goal." From the moment when you hold onto God's Word, the blessing of the throne of the Kingdom will be established.
[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, may my spiritual power and healing arise today. May today be a day of grace when believers throughout the nation
