The Jewish people, Pharisees, teachers of the law, priests, and even Rome tried to block the Gospel, but the Early Church was completely victorious. Later, it was Paul who evangelized Rome. According to Jewish law, no work was to be done on the Sabbath; however, the disciples gathered heads of grain; rubbed them in their hands; and ate the kernels. Moreover, Jesus healed the man with a shriveled hand. The Pharisees denounced what had happened and followed Jesus eagerly to find evidences to accuse Him. Since they didn't know the Gospel, their zeal became problems, and their descendants were enslaved; held captive; were colonized; and became a wandering people. Right now, churches around the world are closing their doors. You mustn't work hard on anything else; instead, you must enjoy the Gospel in which the Triune God is with you. Whenever you pray, "The Throne's Blessing" will come, and the fate and destiny of your past; present; and future will undoubtedly change. What covenant did the powerless members of the Early Church hold onto in order to change the world?
1. Christ Who Can Give True Rest Is the Perfecter of the Sabbath
Although the members of the Early Church seemed completely out of touch with reality, they were inside the fulfillment of "the absolute covenant." Jesus came to fulfill the Law, (Matthew 5:17-18) He said that He would destroy the temple without the three courtyards and raise it again in three days, (John 2:19~22) In the end, these works were accomplished on the cross. (John 19:30)
2. Those Who've Changed Their Master
Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, (Luke 6:5) The Lord of your life, business, and church is the Triune God. From the moment the master changes, diseases will be healed and fate and destiny will change. (Matthew 8:17 & Luke 6:10) "The Life Movement" can completely overcome "The Law Movement." However, the Pharisees fell into that system and lost hold of the essence.
3. Christ Who Gave the True Sabbath That Was More Vital Than the Sabbath Itself
"My peace I give to you." (John 14:27) "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Jesus healed those who were incurable and demonpossessed and changed their fate and destiny. Nothing can be taken away from those who are in Christ, (Romans 8:31-39)
The resurrected Christ sits on the unseen throne and is with you, (John 20:1) That's why every day is Sunday. Starting today, enter a quiet and deep time and change your master.
Gospel Memory Verse [John 15:7]
Bible Reading [1 Corinthians 15:12-34]
[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, thank you for giving me the Gospel and allowing me to relay it. Now that the time has come, thank you for the start of the construction of the temple for world evangelization. Thank you for giving believers their mission and the grace to fulfill it. May I live a life that leaves behind the footsteps of Christ throughout history. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
