The Public Ministry of Jesus Christ: His Teachings
John 15:5 / "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
Hymn #90 I've Found a Friend (Unified Hymn 98)
There are three aspects that Jesus taught during His public ministry. First, it was about what needed to be changed. Jesus gave messages through the Sermon on the Mount, (Matthew 5:1~12) about the meaning of Heaven, (Matthew 13:1-58) and about the essence of the Gospel (Matthew 16:13-20) that changed the thoughts and hearts of people. He also changed the wrong thoughts that were associated with what was long-standing (Matthew 17:1-9) and physical (Matthew 18:1~10) as well as the Sabbath; systems; and traditions of the Jewish people. Moreover, He emphasized faith in the resurrection. Second, Jesus taught about what to seek. Jesus left behind messages regarding "1·3·8," the Master of the Three Feasts, evangelism and missions, and the three courtyards. You need to find these as well. Third, He taught about what to enjoy. It was none other than God's Kingdom, (Matthew 6:10, 10:7, & Acts 1:3) Paul grasped this properly and conveyed it. (Acts 19:8) Knowing these, you need to enjoy your status and authority that Jesus spoke of.
1. Salvation and Evangelization
Salvation is gained through the work of the Holy Spirit, (John 3:1-8 & 1 Corinthians 12:3) As a result, you gain life and eternal life by grace. Now that you are saved, in order to relay the Gospel, you must become a "person who washes feet" (John 13:1-15) and a "kernel of wheat." (John 12:24)
2. The Church and Walking with God
The church is where the Triune God comes through "The Throne's Blessing." (John 2:1~11) That's why the church must have the three courtyards, (237·Healing·Summit) Moreover, believers who are saved must remain attached to Jesus just like branches which are joined to a vine. John 15:1-7 This is the mystery of walking with God.
3. Disciples and the Evangelist's Life
Jesus said that He called His disciples "to be with them, to send them out to preach, and to have authority to drive out demons." (Mark 3:13-15) Afterward, He told them to leave everything and follow Him, (Matthew 9:9, 12:29, 19:26, & Mark 8:38) He also told them to live the evangelist's life. Simply put, that meant to hold onto the stream of the eternal Word and live as those who served God, as those who were commissioned, and those who took on the cross.
Prayer is holding onto the covenant and finding peace and meaning. At this time, you must have a line of concentration. From that point on, you'll gain infinite power; healing will occur; and you'll see "The Throne's Blessing" and the 237 nations that transcend time and space.
[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, thank you calling me as the evangelist to save this age. Help me become the witness who wholly enjoys Jesus' teachings from now on. May the answer of Your Kingdom being established in all places begin from now. In Jesus Christ's name I pray. Amen.
