The Centurion's Faith

Matthew 8:5-13 / The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. (8)

To heal his diseased servant, a centurion went to Jesus and said, "Just say the word." Jesus saw his faith, was moved, and said, "I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith." The centurion knew the Word, Jesus Christ, and himself who was saved. Likewise, when you hold onto God's accurate Word, angels will be established. (Psalm 103:20) In addition, when you hold onto God's will within the Word, the heavenly hosts will be mobilized. (Psalm 103:21) Furthermore, when you hold onto the Word as you pray and give worship, the Lord's armies of angles will be mobilized as well. (Psalm 103:22) That centurion was at the field where this Word was fulfilled.

1. The Field of the Fulfillment of Christ Who Would Appear
Just like the 7 Remnants and the figures from Hebrews 11:38 who held onto the covenant of Christ who would appear, works will arise if you correctly hold onto the covenant of the Gospel. That's why the minority who held onto the covenant of Psalm 103:20-22 blocked the age of seven disasters.

2. The Field of Fulfillment of the Incarnation of the Prophetic Word
By simply seeing the shadow of Christ, Satan (the main figure of Genesis 3, 6, and 11) crumbles. This Christ became incarnate and came into this world. Furthermore, in order to be with you; for the sake of evangelism; and to give you the authority to drive out demons, Jesus has called you. Through the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus explained what true blessings were and healed the source of incurable diseases. Again, in that field, the centurion was there.

3. The Centurion Who Came to the Field Where Christ Who Would Save the World Was
The person who constantly listened to the covenant regarding Christ was the centurion, who as a military official, had relations to both Judea and Rome. Jesus complimented the fact that the centurion was in the field where Christ who would save the world was.

Then, how must you hold onto the Word? During worship time, take memos of God's Word. By keeping those memos in your heart, thoughts, and soul, the blessings of the throne will begin to work. Because the memos are taken within what is eternal, they'll be connected as well. In doing so, you'll see the future.

Dear God, may I experience both the works of the Word as it becomes incarnate and its power that becomes established in me. Right now, at this time, help me enjoy the blessing of realizing Your works. May I experience Your power that was manifested through King Hezekiah's prayer when You sent Your angel to destroy the 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. May David and the centurion's confession be mine. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
