The Unique Grace Given to Me

 

Matthew 16:13~20 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”(16)

  Even with Emperor Caesar and King Philip’s powers combined, they couldn’t overcome the Gospel, and it was the same case with the Jewish people. That doesn’t mean you’ll have success, but if you’re inside the Gospel, nothing is impossible. Even Rome, which once moved the world, couldn’t overcome the Gospel, and in a span of two hundred and fifty years, it kneeled down before the Gospel. Peter knew this fact and confessed that the almighty Christ was the Lord. What will happen to those who confess Christ?

 

1. When Christ Becomes Your Master – All Problems Are Resolved
  Peter confessed that Christ was the Lord. When Christ becomes the master of your life, all your problems are resolved, and the forces of darkness kneel down. After Peter made his confession of faith, Jesus proclaimed that He would build His church on that rock and the gates of Hell would not prevail against it. He gave Peter the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven and blessed him. Peter was an uneducated fisherman, who lacked possessions, yet his confession spread throughout the world.

 

2. When You Hold onto the Covenant of Christ – You Will Receive the Answers of Acts 2:1~47
  A small group of people who gathered in Mark’s upper room changed the Jewish people and saved the entire Israel nation. They held onto the covenant of Christ and devoted themselves to prayer,(Acts 1:14) and the answers they received were recorded in Acts 2. On the day of Pentecost, the works of the Holy Spirit arose, and victory was surely guaranteed.

 

3. Because One Person Held onto the Covenant of Christ - the Doors to   Evangelism and Mission Opened
  In the name of Jesus Christ, Peter raised a lame man who had sat at the gate of the temple, and great works arose in Samaria through Philip. Antioch Church was built in the midst of a great crisis, and when the Early Church faced persecutions, the church officers gathered and prayed. Then, an angel of the Lord struck King Herod down, and he was eaten by worms. Later, through one man, Paul, Rome was conquered. Because one man held to the covenant of Christ, the doors to evangelism and missions were opened.

 

[Prayer of the Evangelist] Dear God, let me confess Christ every day and serve Him as my Master. Please make me the main figure who holds onto the covenant of Christ to save the field.
