Lesson 3 - Why Do These Problems Arise?

 

When you shine light in the darkness where nothing is visible, you can see a lot of dust. It seem like an obvious truth, but suffering continues because the truth is obscured by beings that humans are unaware of.

 

 

1. There is a problem that human do not know at all.

1) The Bible talks about Satan.

Revelation 12:9 - "And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world - he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him"

2) Unknowingly, people continued to do idol worship, but actually, that is serving Satan.

Ephesians 2:2 - "In which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience"

3) Adam and Eve were deceived by the serpent(Satan) and committed the sin of disobeying God by eating the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, and therefore, separating from God. This is the event of Genesis 3.

Genesis 3:1-20 - "But the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opend, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." (v. 4-5)

4) The Age of the Nephilim came and families began to crumble.

Genesis 6:1-20 - "The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown." (v. 4)

5) The society and the nation began to collapse.

Genesis 11:1-8 - "Then they said, 'Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth" (v. 4) 

6) Humankind who was created to serve God and rule over all creations have rather become worshippers of all creations. This is idolatry. Idol worship is what Satan desires the most. That is why people continue to face hardships. 

Exodus 20:3-5 - "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them," (v. 4-5a)

7) Satan has taken control of each families and culture, deceiving people to believe that if they do not give sacrifices, there will be a great problem. (Matthew 12:9-45)

8) Many people are suffering because they are allured by shamans, divination, idolatry amulets, and superstitions. (Acts 13:1-12, 16:16-18, 19:8-20)

9) Because of this, mental illnesses and incurable diseases arise, and many face hardships from being possessed by demons. (Mark 5:1-10, 9:20-23, Matthew 8:1-17)

 

2. If you do not know why these problems arise, then you have no choice but to fall into serious conditions.

1) You must serve the devil. (Jhon 8:44)

2) You do not directly worship demons but do it through idol worship (Exodus 20:4-5)

3) As time passes, your heart and the mind become ill. (Matthew 11:28)

4) Unbearable physical problems arise. (Acts 8:4-8)

5) You have no choice but to go to hell. (Luke 16:19-30)

6) This curse will be passed on to posterity. (Matthews 27:25)

 

3. What is the fundamental reason for this?

1) Genesis 3:1-20 - Personal problem

2) Genesis 6:1-20 - Family problem 

3) Genesis 11:1-8 - National problem, societal problem
