People Who Changed Their Motives in the Old Testament

John 14:6 / Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

You who have been saved only need to change your motives. Even when you meet other people, you have to give them a definite answer.

1. Those Who Lost Hold of the Gospel because of Many Miracles and Answers
The miracles that arose in the Old Testament times made people lose hold of the Gospel. The Israelites were preoccupied with defeating Egypt, Philistia, Assyria, Aram, Babylon, and Rome. Because they didn't know the Gospel or relay it, they were unaware that it was God's work. In order to reveal the way to meet Christ, God gave the Word; however, the Jewish people lost hold it because they were too busy keeping the Law. They even took the Law, followed Jesus, and continued to argue with Him.

2. Those Who Lost Hold of the Gospel because of a Special Covenant Given by God
The Israelites lost hold of Christ who was the content of the Tabernacle and only held onto the Tabernacle itself. They lost hold of the essence of the Feasts, which explained salvation and the mystery of the Triune God and just spent their time on the Feasts themselves. Because the Israelites lost hold of the covenant and just obsessed over the Ark of the Covenant, God destroyed it.

3. The Witness Who Enjoyed WITH, Immanuel, and Oneness
The 7 Remnants and the church officers who raised them had the following in common, "God is with me. God is with us, and all things work together to explain "only Gospel" and fulfill that which is good." They never boasted or testified of anything else. This is what you must enjoy and relay to others.

[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, please change my motives that make me lose hold of the Gospel. Help me become the witness who enjoys and relays the fact that You are with me, with us, and with all things. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
