The Remnant who believes in God the Creator (Genesis 1:1)
-From today, we will focus on the important messages concerning “The Way of Salvation.” -First off, we must focus on God the Creator. If we believe in God and Genesis 1:1, we absolutely believe in the rest of the Bible. Therefore, knowing God is one of the most significant foundation of Christian walk of faith.
1.Who is God?
1)God is Spirit
-Because God is Spirit, He is the invisible Being. Don’t be deceived by unhealthy mystics who argue that they see God.
John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
2)Yahweh or Jehovah
①God’s name is Yahweh or Jehovah
-The meaning of Yahweh is “He is who He is.” This name shows God’s independence and aseity that means “existence derived from itself, having no other source.” God does not need to any creation.
Exodus 3:14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
②He is not limited by time and space.
-However, idols are made by human hands. Don’t be deceived by visible and invisible idols (money, fame, success, beauty, ideology that are created by human beings).
Psalms 135:15-18 The idols of the nations are silver and gold,The work of men’s hands.16 They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see;17 They have ears, but they do not hear; Nor is there any breath in their mouths. 18 Those who make them are like them;So is everyone who trusts in them.
③Yahweh shows the covenantal relation between God and His people.
-In the Old Testament, LORD means Yahweh or Jehovah. The LORD said to Moses and Israelites about their covenantal relationship.
Exodus 19:5-6, Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
3)the Creator
①God created all universe (Gen.1:1)
-The first verse of the Bible declares God is the Creator of all universe. His creation includes things visible and invisible.
Colossians 1:15-16 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
4)the Almighty
①Omniscience and omnipotence
-He can do everything that human beings cannot do.
Mark 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
-However, God’s omnipotence cannot reject His characters like goodness, love, justice, eternity, and so one.
②God saves the dead and make a thing out of nothing.
Romans 4:17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
-God is the author of salvation. He alone is the Creator.
③Evil spirits know who God is and tremble before God
James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
2.God is the source of all blessings
1)No God, no happiness
-Without God, myself and my family, my job and my future are not meaningful and cannot be established. It is because God is the source of all blessings. If we are separated from Him, we have no choice but to be unhappy.
2)Start your today with God
-When you start your today, you should call God’s name. Through personal worship, scheduled prayer, and meditation upon the Word, we can start our today correctly within God’s guidance and blessings.
Genesis 12:8 And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.
3)Start your week with God’s guidance
-You should have a priority to have worship. It is because God is seeking true worshippers.
John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
4)Start and do your job in front of God
-Admit the Lordship of God in your job and filed.God is your Creator, Lord, and Master. Therefore, do all things before God. He sees us and listens to our all sayings.
Psalms 16:8-9 I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.
5)The one who doesn't know God
-The one who doesn’t know God is the foolish.
Psalms 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.
-He/she is under the power of the evil spirit.
Ephesians 2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
-Therefore, God’s wrath comes upon them.
Ephesians 2:3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
-Their spiritual background is hell.
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Conclusion
1)Be the person who stays in the Word of God.
Psalm 107:19-20 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. 20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
