Lesson. 4 The Evidence of Rebirth (1Jn. 5:1-3)

The moment you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, God creates a new and eternal life in you through the power of the Holy Spirit. This is a spiritual event where you are reborn as God's child. You can neither see this with your eyes nor feel this whth your skin, but new life is created whithin you the momment you receive Jesus as your Lord and savior

1. The results of rebirth
(1) Received new life (Jn. 5:24)
(2) Received a new mind (Ez. 11:19)
(3) Recieved a new Father (Rom. 8:14-15)
(5) Become a new creation (2Cor. 5:17)
(6) Gained new apiritual understanding (Jn. 14:26)
(7) Gained new moral inclination (1Jn. 2:29)
(8) Name written in Heaven's registry (Rev. 3:5)
(9) Received ability to sing new praises (Rev. 5:9)

2. The evidence of rebirth.
(1) Begin to love your spiritual brothers (1Jn. 5:1)
(2) Gladly obey God's words (1Jn. 5:2-3)
(3) Gain assurance of salvation (1Jn. 5:6-13)
- External evidence-evidence of the word
- Internal evidence-evedence of the Holy spirit
(4) Gain assurance of answered prayer (1Jn. 5:14-15)
(5) Try to live a clean and holy life (1Jn. 5:18)
(6) Overcome the world through faith (1Jn. 5:4)
(7) Live a christ-centered life (Gal. 2:20)

This kind of living does not happen overnight. We gradually change through the work of the Holy Spirit. Change definitely takes place in the person who is born again. if there is no chabge in your life, reconfirm your salvation. If you have not experienced salvation or do not have assurance of salvation, accept Jesus Christ now. Believe with your heart and confess with your mouth, then you will receive eternal life and experience the evidence of rebirth.
