Be Set with the Things of God
1 Samuel 1:9~11│And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.” (11)

Even today, you probably had many thoughts; however, you have to change your thoughts into God's thoughts. In particular, parents with children should must be set with the things of God. This is the path to save both yourself and your family. How can you be set with the things of God?
1. By Yourself
All people have greed. They want more, they look for something better, they compare what have with others’, and they covet what others have. They think about everything by being centered on “me” and go back and forth between inner deficiencies and excess. Moreover, they worry by themselves and have conflicts with others. When you’re alone, you must communicate with God and have the mystery of prayer in which your thoughts and heart, mind and body, and the field are connected and become one. Only when you receive spiritual strength given by God, will His things begin to be set in you.
2. Children and Parents Together
From behind, when you see your parents enjoying the perfect blessing of being made in God's image, you can confirm God’s existence and follow the Gospel that they enjoy. If parents are first set with the things of God, their families will discover the unprecedented and never-repeated blessings prepared by Him. Through family worship and forums, spiritual communication must take place to share and relay the mission given by God regarding your occupationbusiness and academics and position at church in which you seek His things.
Remnants who grow up in this spiritual atmosphere will naturally and rightfully think about and choose the things of God and grow into a Summit who changes the field.
Dear God, thank you for entrusting me with Your precious Remnants. Please help me to become a parent and teacher who possesses the mystery of prayer to raise figures like Moses, David, and Samuel. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
* How Do Your Parents Look from Behind?
Eugene H. Peterson, the author of Like Dew Your Youth, Growing Up with Your Teenager, said that when raising his children, he didn’t use coercion, but the principle of being autonomous. The education of, “You can’t do this, Don’t do that, and Act like this,” cannot be evaluated as unevangelical. On the other hand, saying, “Do whatever you want,” can end up emphasizing self-centeredness.
You’ve heard countless times that the Gospel is about saving lives. You also heard the words of faith that Jesus Christ has finished everything which means that nothing can be a problem. However, when you deal with your children and not others, you do the exact opposite.
There isn’t a more powerful teaching strategy than real life demonstrations. How will children react when they see their mothers who say, “Jesus Christ is the solution to all problems,” yet worry in the face of present difficulties? Instead of listening to words over and over again, the mothers’ worried expressions, concerns, and deep sighs may give greater influence.
Is it okay if Jesus Christ is made to sound like nagging? Only when mothers and fathers actually enjoy the Gospel can their children see and learn. If parents, on an individual basis, are revived through the Gospel, the light will shine on their children as well.
